The club
The Barwon Heads Golf Club was formed in 1907 on the coast of the Bellarine Peninsula. Victor East laid out the championship course through the dunes in 1921, and it remains one of the finest links courses in the country.
The clubhouse followed in 1923, designed by Klingender and Hamilton and listed on the Victorian Heritage Register. Members and guests still stay under its roof.
